Christian Samay (2001- March 30, 2024) was a 22-year-old Bucknell University student found dead at the University campus under mysterious circumstances. Hailing from New Jersey, Christian was known for his bright mind and cheerful demeanor, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
According to the school management Christian’s death is not being considered suspicious although the investigation and medical examination will soon reveal what caused the death.
The University President released a statement telling students that the counselors are available for any student who felt emotional damage after this heartbreaking incident. The college was also kept closed on April 1, 2024.
Christian pronounced dead at 1.50 pm on Saturday
On March 30, 2024, at around 1:45 p.m., local police responded to University Avenue on Bucknell University’s campus for a death investigation. The 911 call made by the University informed that a student named Christian Samay was found unresponsive on the campus. Soon, EMTs reached the scene and declared him dead at 1:50 p.m.
FYI, a day before the death, Bucknell campus police posted on Facebook about an active shooter in the area and imposed a lockdown to prevent any mishap. However, the news of an active shooter was a hoax, and the lockdown was later lifted.
After Samay was found dead, many thought his death was somehow connected to the shooting, but police made it clear that it was not the case. Investigators say that his body has been sent for medical examination, which will help in determining the real reason behind the death.
