Dazhon Darien (age 31, born May 22, 1992) worked as the athletic director at Pikesville High School. Before joining Pikesville, he worked at James Madison High School, where he taught Algebraic Reasoning to 10th graders and served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Madison Marlins football team.

Dazhon faces multiple charges

On April 25, Dazhon Darien was arrested. The charges against him include stalking, theft, disrupting school activities, and getting back at a witness.

This all started when the Baltimore County Police Department began looking into a voice recording that was spreading on social media back on January 17, 2024. People thought it was the principal of Pikesville High School, Eric Eiswert, talking in the recording.

But after checking it out, the police found out it wasn’t real. They asked experts to look at it. One expert from the FBI said the recording had been made using AI.

Another expert from the University of California, Berkeley, agreed. They figured out that Darien had made the fake recording. He used to be the Athletic Director at Pikesville High School. They think he did it because the principal was looking into some money stuff at the school.

Tensions escalated when Dazhon authorized a payment of $1,916 to his roommate, who also served as the junior varsity basketball coach at the school.

In response to these actions, Principal Eiswert launched an investigation into Darien in December 2023. The investigation centered around suspicions of mishandling of school funds. According to the police, this money was paid to someone hired as an assistant girl’s soccer coach, despite the individual never fulfilling the role.

Additionally, Eiswert had previously reprimanded Darien for firing a coach without obtaining approval.
