Two squatters Killed Nadia Vitels

Nadia Vitels was a resident of New York City who tragically lost her life in March 2024. She had recently returned from a trip to Spain and visited her mother’s apartment in Manhattan, which had been unoccupied for several months.

Upon arriving at the apartment, Nadia discovered that it had been taken over by two squatters. Unfortunately, a violent altercation ensued, leading to Nadia’s untimely death. The squatters fled the scene after the incident, taking Nadia’s vehicle with them.

This incident highlights the dangers associated with squatters and the need for vigilance in vacant properties. Nadia’s death was a shocking and devastating event, leaving a void in the lives of her loved ones and the community.

Found Dead in a Duffel Bag

On March 14, 2024, Nadia’s son, Michael Medvedev, found her deceased body in a duffel bag inside their Manhattan apartment’s closet. Emergency services and the police arrived promptly after the discovery. The medical examiner later determined that Nadia Vitels had died from severe head injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

Nadia had several injuries on her face, broken ribs, and brain trauma. Her stolen Lexus was recovered and crashed in Pennsylvania. It was also revealed that the perpetrators had tried to buy another car from local dealers for just $1,000.

This event highlights the growing problem of squatting in New York City. Current laws regarding residential properties are not sufficient in dealing with squatters. There is a need for the government to review and update these laws accordingly.
