The charges stem from an incident where Patel threatened to “murder” Bakersfield City council members during a meeting. This led to their first court appearance on the following Friday, where they tearfully pleaded not guilty to all charges.

During the city council meeting, Their behavior became confrontational, resulting in their being escorted out. Riddhi directed hostile language towards the council members, expressing violent sentiments and mentioning the possibility of violence against them.

They then moved to Washington University in St. Louis – School of Medicine, Infectious Diseases, as a Laboratory Assistant for another three months. During this time, Patel also worked as a Server at Diablitos Cantina until December 2016.

In May 2017, Riddhi transitioned to becoming a Clinical Research Data Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, where they stayed for over five years.

In this role, Patel managed various database and clerical tasks supporting clinical research and trials. This included data entry, generating reports, handling phone communications, and other related duties to ensure smooth research operations.
