The incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning when the DCSO Uniformed Services Bureau received a 911 call concerning a suspicious vehicle parked along a dead-end road near the 10200th block of N. 189th St.
When deputies arrived, they found two individuals in the backseat of a Gray 2015 Honda Pilot. One person quickly moved to the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle northbound, evading the deputies until the vehicle crashed into a yard about two blocks away. The driver, identified as a teen male, fled on foot without clothes and initially could not be found.
Around 4:00 AM, deputies successfully located the 25-year-old male victim in the nearby Newport Landing neighborhood, clad only in boxers, a t-shirt, and socks. He was promptly transported to a safe location for medical care and further questioning.
Both Erin Ward and the victim received medical attention for minor injuries resulting from the crash and the subsequent flight on foot.

Upon deputies’ arrival, they found Ward in the process of dressing in the back seat of the Honda. She confessed to engaging in s*xual activity with a teen, whom she identified as a 17-year-old teen student at Burke High School.
Inside the Honda, Deputies also found Erin Ward’s Omaha Public Schools employee ID in the Honda, confirming her job as a substitute teacher at Burke and other schools in the area. The Honda belonged to Ward and her spouse.
Following these findings, she was transferred to the Douglas County Department of Corrections on suspicion of felony s*xual abuse by a school employee, as outlined in the release.
