Alyssa Todd (age 23, born in 2000) is an American teacher from Arizona who gained notoriety after being arrested for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student. Todd worked at Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies High School at the time of the alleged incident.
The affair reportedly lasted for two months until Todd’s husband discovered love letters containing sexual language at their home. Following this discovery, Todd was arrested by Buckeye Police at her residence in Buckeye on March 20, 2024.
She is currently facing multiple charges related to the sexual assault of a child, which could result in a lengthy prison sentence if convicted.
Investigation Against Alyssa Began
According to sources, the investigation against the teacher began after her family contacted the Buckeye Police Department reporting that they suspect she was having an inappropriate relationship with a minor student.
Reportedly it was Alyssa’s husband who found handwritten notes with sexual language. Soon after receiving the tip from her mother-in-law the Buckeye Police Special Victims Unit started the investigation against Todd.
The investigators reviewed the handwritten notes after which the teacher was arrested on March 20, 2024, from her home in Buckeye, Arizona.
She is facing serious charges of sexual exploitation of a child which are sufficient to put her behind bars for a lengthy time.
Todd is ready to leave her husband
The Buckeye Police Department has not released what was written in the handwritten notes found at Alyssa’s home. However, we learned that the letters helped the investigator ascertain that the teacher had s*x with the student both on and off the school campus.
Investigators also revealed that during interrogation, Alyssa gave many false statements. However, later during the second round of questioning, she admitted to lying saying that she lied because she was scared.
As per authorities, Todd told the officials that she loves the minor so much that she is ready to leave her husband for him.
